Real Time Tomography, LLC is a privately held company dedicated to developing innovative technologies that increase diagnostic accuracy and improve clinical workflow.  Real Time Tomography’s software imaging products are cost-effective and provide efficient solutions for manufacturers of medical imaging systems.  These solutions can easily be adapted to optimize new and existing systems, accelerating manufacturers’ products time to market.

Mission

Real Time Tomography's team consists of both full-time and part-time support staff.  Our team includes industry veterans in medical imaging, experienced researchers and engineers and accomplished business executives who are dedicated to developing the highest quality imaging products for the market.

Andrew Maidment, PhD

Scientific Advisor

Dr. Maidment is Chief, Physics Section, in the Department of Radiology at the University of Pennsylvania and an Associate Professor of Radiology, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  Dr. Maidment is certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Physics. 

Catherine Piccoli, MD

Clinical Advisor

Dr. Piccoli is a practicing Diagnostic Radiologist in Voorhees, New Jersey. Dr. Piccoli graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1983 and has been in practice for 33 years. She completed a residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. 

Chin-Hock (C.H.) Low

Business Advisor

C.H. is a serial entrepreneur who has worked at nine successful startups, many in the Philadelphia region, as a Chief Technology Officer and VP of Product Development.

Leadership Team

Susan Ng

Chief Executive Officer

Ms. Ng has extensive experience developing market-leading products for the medical, aerospace and semiconductor industries. As co-founder of Real Time Tomography, Ms. Ng has defined the vision and direction of the company. She is the principal investigator of the company's scientific grants and has led the company's research efforts in development of its core expertise. She was instrumental in raising early corporate funding and establishing the company's corporate and university collaborations.

Peter Ringer

Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Ringer has worked at three successful startup companies designing real-time software. He is a technical leader in the development of software in embedded medical systems with one patent for a unique method of storing and reconstructing ultrasound image data. Mr. Ringer leads all aspects of the software development cycle for RTT's imaging products.

Johnny Kuo, PhD

Research Engineer

Dr. Kuo has extensive experience in software and analysis for medical imaging. His previous research work include volume rendering reconstructions of CT images, real-time acquisition and display of volumetric ultrasound images and image analysis of 3D ultrasound data. Previously a research specialist at the University of Pennsylvania, he provided research support for a digital breast tomosynthesis clinical trial and tomosynthesis image reconstruction. At RTT, Dr. Kuo is responsible for fundamental research in image reconstruction and image processing.
